In this post we\u2019re going to be looking at ways to say Chinese in Chinese and all of these ways are referring to mandarin.<\/p>\n<h2>How to say Chinese in Chinese:<\/h2>\n<h3>\u4e2d\u6587  (zh\u014dng w\u00e9n)<\/h3>\n<p>Just as \u4e2d\u56fd (zh\u014dng gu\u00f3) means the \u201ccentral country\u201d or China, \u4e2d\u6587  (zh\u014dng w\u00e9n) refers to the \u201ccentral language\u201d or Mandarin Chinese.<\/p>\n<h3>\u6c49\u8bed (H\u00e0n y\u01d4)<\/h3>\n<p>The Han people make up 92% of the population of China, and \u6c49\u8bed (H\u00e0n y\u01d4) simply means the language of the Han people. This is a common way to refer to Mandarin.<\/p>\n<h3>\u666e\u901a\u8bdd (P\u01d4 t\u014dng hu\u00e0)<\/h3>\n<p>\u8bdd (hu\u00e0) means speech or dialect and \u666e\u901a (P\u01d4 t\u014dng) means common. This means the common dialect and is another way to refer to Mandarin.<\/p>\n<h3>\u56fd\u8bed (Gu\u00f3 y\u01d4)<\/h3>\n<p>Going back to \u4e2d\u56fd (zh\u014dng gu\u00f3), the \u56fd (gu\u00f3) part means country and the \u8bed (y\u01d4) means language. This means the language of the country and is a way to refer to Mandarin that is especially common in Taiwan.<\/p>\n<h3>\u534e\u8bed (Hu\u00e1y\u01d4)<\/h3>\n<p>This is more commonly used outside of China, especially in Southeast Asia. \u534e\u4eba(hu\u00e1 r\u00e9n) means people who are of the Chinese nation or civilization. \u534e\u8bed (Hu\u00e1y\u01d4) just means the language of those people.<\/p>\n<p>There you have it!
