Du Chinese
Graded Reading Project

Would you like to improve your Chinese while reading great stories? Now you can!

Du Chinese is launching a graded reading project where we rewrite famous stories into graded Chinese lessons. The stories are graded in accordance with HSK levels, to make the reading experience consistent and suitable for extensive reading.

As always, you can easily look up words and view the English translation if you get stuck. All our stories have voice recordings by natural speakers that you can listen to while following along with the text.

You can now read all our short stories for free until July 14, and we would love to hear your feedback.

Stories

We’re starting off our graded reading project with our HSK 3 level renditions of some of O. Henry’s best short stories. O. Henry is an American short story writer known for being able to write an intriguing story in a limited amount of text.

More stories coming soon

You'll find these stories and many other Chinese lessons on our website.
